1. Reset LG washer
The first thing to do when the LG washer is stuck on the spin cycle is to reset your washer. Before you take any action, we recommend consulting your user manual. There could be some specific way of resetting your model of the washer.
If you can’t find the user manual, unplug your washer from the power outlet and wait for at least five minutes so the electric current can discharge. Then turn the machine back on.
If it doesn’t work, try a hard reset that disconnects the washer from the power source. Then open and close the lid six times for 12 seconds. Make sure to adhere to the timing.
Finally, run the spin cycle and check if the issues persist. If it does, then you should check other components.
2. Replace the timer
If the reset doesn’t help, the second thing to check is the timer. Timer gets defective because of the short-circuited contacts most of the time.
